It’s just so easy in this digital-based age for us to feel separate from one another. We spend more time alone now that we have in millenia. We have moved, as humans, from community-based village life to an individualistic belief that we are all on our own.

The Yamas and Niyamas teach us about the web of life. They remind us that we are all part of this interconnected experience of human-ness that connects us beyond our personal experience.

These foundational aspects of the 8 Limbs of Yoga teach us that how we speak to ourselves influences how we are with others. The environment in which we live and the influences we surround ourselves with affect our decisions, our choices, and our actions. We are a product of our surroundings. And what we choose to bring in affects what we give out.
