Day 16: Roll it Out – Heartspace

There is nothing quite like a myofascial release class to work out the nervous system, reset the body, and leave feeling OH SO GOOD.

If you’re like me, you may hold stress in your upper back/ shoulder area. This is a great spot for tension to land, whether it’s just been a busy day or you’ve been under pressure for some time. 

Over time, that tension spreads and spiderwebs into other areas of the body. 

This class is how we work out that tension, with a particular focus on hands, arms, shoulders, and upper back, all of which are an extension of the practice we did yesterday: opening the heart.

Now, this class does require several props — but don’t let it deter you. There are lots of things you can use at home to replace the props we have on hand. 

Here is what you need for class:

  • Therapy balls in a tote OR two tennis balls in a sock
  • Coregeous ball or blanket
  • Yoga blocks
  • Strap or belt
  • Exercise bands (if you have them)

This is one of my absolute FAVORITE practices, friend! Take your time and truly enjoy the extra attention and care for your body.
