Day 11: Set Your Vision on Completion

Let’s talk about healthy motivation

I know how it can be in the world of coaching and growth: there is a constant push to be a little stronger, edge a little bit better, and be in this steady climb towards achievement, efficiency, goal-setting, and striving. 

Honestly, it’s a very masculine approach to living. 

And one that, for better or worse, wreaks havoc on the nervous system, and invites an unfortunate amount of self-shaming for not constantly being productive.

And, even worse, this bizarre cultural idea can lead to ignoring the body’s signals and its basic need for relaxation and rest. 

In the days to come, we’re going to talk a lot about rest, how to do it, what to do, and some signals you can rely on to test whether or not your body is in a state of rest. 

For now, we’re going to turn it up a notch for another HIIT class with Laura. 

Now, I want to be super clear: if you are not feeling it, head on over to our All Classes section and find a class that is better suiting for today’s rhythms (an all-levels gratitude class is a great alternative). 

And if you’re ready to hit it hard today, then Laura is here to deliver, friend! Your goal for today is to stay focused on completing this class, and completing this program. Take a long term view. Rest when you need to. And let’s have a great class together!
